Easter Countdown - Day 11

What are you called to do in life? Usually when we think of someone who is called, we think of pastors and ministers. However, we should not be too shortsighted in our understanding of calling. There are some people who are gifted and equipped to be musicians, others plumbers, and still others teachers. When we understand that God is Lord over all of creation, then we can see that a sense of calling does not have to be limited to the ministry. When we begin to see our profession as serving a purpose in God's kingdom, our every day lives can take on new significance.

While there is a diversity of gifts, there is a calling which applies to all Christians, and that is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matt. 22:37) This is what we are called to do every day!
