My son came home from college today for his Spring break, and we are so glad to see him. Our daughter kept looking out the window, hoping that his car would be in the driveway. And we he finally walked in the door, what a relief to know he was safe and what joy to see him.
His coming home reminds me, what a joyful reunion awaits those who are in the Lord. Our loved ones who have gone to heaven before us, await our arrival. However, I believe they are looking forward to our coming, not so much because they missed us, but because they can't wait for us to experience the joy they have in heaven. This is the joy that comes from being in God's presence without the presence of sin to interfere. What a glad homecoming that will be!
