Easter Countdown - Day 17

Did you get pinched today for not wearing any green? I'm not sure where this tradition comes from, but I imagine many people wore green because they didn't want to get tweaked. So if people are wearing lots of green, then it must be St. Patrick's Day, in honor of the one who brought Christianity to the Irish people. He is famous for using the three leaf clover to help explain how God is Three in One. The theological term for this doctrine is the Trinity.

Many people have trouble with this teaching because they believe it means there are three gods and the Bible is very clear, there is only one God. People stumble at this doctrine because simple mathematics says 1+1+1=3. However, this doctrine is one we must accept by faith for the Bible clearly teaches that God is Father, Son, & Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). Also, simple mathematics can make three equal one as follows: 1x1x1=1.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
