Easter Countdown - Day 21

I heard an awesome story today of hope and perseverance. Some friends of ours went to support a relative in the annual Shamrock Mararthon here in Virginia Beach. They wanted to be at the finish line as her cousin finished the half-marathon. The woman running the race wanted to quit at mile 12 because of fatigue and pain, yet the thought that someone was waiting for her at the finish line kept here going. She was able to finish the final mile, because she was looking forward to a warm reception.

How true this is in life, as we must persevere until our race on earth is finished. However, let us remember that the one waiting at the finish line for us is not our relatives who have gone to heaven before us. The One at the finish line waiting for us is our Savior, the Lord Jesus! Now that should keep us going!
