Went to my Church Planter's Network meeting today and had a great time of fellowship and edification. Planting more churches is critical to reaching more people for Christ because the existing number of churches we have are not able to hold the total number of lost people in our communities. Some people think, "We have enough churches already and besides it doesn't matter what you believe as long as you are sincere." Therefore, they do not see the need.
When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, on the night in which He was to be betrayed, He prayed for the Father to let this cup pass. The cup Jesus was talking about was the cup of suffering and wrath that Jesus would endure upon the cross. In essence the Son of God was asking the Father if there was some other way to accomplish the salvation of mankind. The Scripture tells us that Jesus said, "Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done." The Father said Jesus death on the cross was necessary to accomplish salvation for man. Therefore, until every man, woman, and child has heard about this wonderful salvation, our work on earth is not done.
