Easter Countdown - Day 33

Today is Good Friday! On this day we remember that Jesus Christ was crucified on a cruel cross around 2000 years ago. At the time it did not seem very good to Jesus' disciples. Their leader was dead and by the end of the day His lifeless body was laying in a borrowed tomb. What could make such a tragic circumstance good?

In Isaiah 53:6 we are told that the Lord has laid the inquity of us all on the suffering servant. When you read this portion of Scripture, there can be no doubt the writer was referring to the death of Jesus Christ. So what makes Jesus' death good is the fact that He takes away our sins. Let us all rejoice in Good Friday!
